GoreeCloud Archive

GoreeCloud Archive

Preserving how GoreeCloud changed.

A curated public record of major architectural eras, product transitions, superseded decisions, and lessons. Historical entries preserve the state that was true at the time; they do not override current project records.

Ownership, privacy, and recoverability become core goals

GoreeCloud begins as a personal and family cloud effort centered on direct control of infrastructure, data, software, identity, and long-term preservation.

Independent services gain explicit roles

Networking, storage, backups, monitoring, identity, productivity, and public-facing services are separated into clearer system responsibilities instead of growing into one indistinguishable cloud product.

Upstream applications become transitional foundations

Maintained forks and external complete applications accelerate early capability and preserve continuity. GoreeCloud later formalizes a direction toward GoreeCloud-owned application and product layers while retaining mature technical dependencies where independent replacement would increase risk.

Focused first-party applications multiply

Dedicated applications emerge for files, synchronization, documents, media, communication, search, networking, administration, device software, productivity, and personal data. Capability families such as Quill, Waypoint, and Resonance remain attached to their parent applications rather than becoming duplicate products.

Privacy, security, continuity, design, coordination, identity, and administration become distinct authorities

Privacy Shield, Wardveil Security, Everkeep, GLAZE UI, GoreeCloud Mesh, GoreeCloud Identity, and GoreeCloud Manager evolve into the current seven-system model. This supersedes earlier five- and six-system snapshots while preserving those older snapshots as historical context.

GoreeCloud-owned product software becomes the required end state

Complete upstream applications and maintained forks are designated as transitional migration, compatibility, continuity, rollback, testing, historical, or reference sources. Narrow engines, protocols, libraries, codecs, databases, runtimes, and other technical foundations may remain when replacing them would materially increase risk.

The source-control product boundary changes

An earlier plan treated a self-hosted forge as the permanent development-platform authority. That direction was later superseded by GoreeCloud Code, which defines the GoreeCloud-owned developer-platform product while keeping the forge implementation replaceable.

Passing once stops being enough

Privacy, security, continuity, design, identity, coordination, and application acceptance increasingly become exact-revision and freshness scoped. Missing, stale, superseded, conflicting, or unverifiable evidence must not be silently converted into a stronger current claim.

1.x and 2.x releases document the design system’s evolution

Glaze UI 1.0, 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.5.0, 2.0.0, 2.1.0, and 2.2.0 each represented real historical design-system states and migration work. They remain useful audit and rollback context, but none defines today’s consumer target.

V1.4 / 1.4.0 becomes currentOfficial and currentStable

The canonical Glaze lifecycle registry establishes GLAZE UI V1.4 / 1.4.1 as the current official Stable consumer release. Consumer acceptance remains local: source targeting, rendered quality, accessibility, adaptive behavior, performance, rollback, and production acceptance are independently evidenced.

Public website source moves under one canonical repository

GoreeCloud/goreecloud-static-websites becomes the mandatory source repository for GoreeCloud-controlled static websites. The live authoritative scope contains 13 registered packages. Independent Cloudflare Pages projects may remain, but legacy source copies are transitional until cutover and exact deployment verification are complete.

Authorization and recoverability move beyond labels

Privacy Shield advances durable operation-bound authorization, consent, revocation, and minimized evidence. Everkeep advances restore evidence, recovery objectives, controlled drills, rollback assurance, preservation, portability, and succession. Neither system permits a global positive state to be manufactured from partial evidence.

Manager keeps source systems authoritative

GoreeCloud Manager develops a least-privilege read-only operational foundation before state-changing administration. Normalized visibility does not transfer network, monitoring, backup, privacy, security, continuity, identity, or coordination authority into Manager.

Current boundary · September 12, 2026

History does not redefine current truth.

The current official Glaze target is GLAZE UI V1.4 / 1.4.1. The canonical static website repository contains 14 registered packages. Labs is integrated as the fourteenth authoritative-main package; its Cloudflare source cutover, exact deployed-revision verification, canonical-domain browser acceptance, production acceptance, and indexing release remain separate gates. The current integral platform model contains seven systems: GoreeCloud Manager, Privacy Shield, Wardveil Security, Everkeep, GLAZE UI, GoreeCloud Mesh, and GoreeCloud Identity.

This Archive source is being migrated to the exact V1.3 Stable revision, but source/build migration does not itself establish a new Cloudflare deployment or production-accepted Archive revision.

Archive policy

Public history is curated, not mirrored.

The Archive preserves selected public milestones and context, including superseded development models when they are necessary to understand the project’s evolution. It does not mirror internal change logs, credentials, private topology, administrative interfaces, operational details, personal information, or historical material that was never approved for public release.

When historical material conflicts with a current authoritative project record, the current record controls current engineering and administrative decisions; the Archive remains evidence of what was believed, accepted, or implemented at an earlier point in time.
